Historically the focus in Nigeria has very much been on oil and gas due to the huge hydrocarbon reserves discovered incountry. In terms of minerals Nigeria is underexplored despite having very good potential. This is now changing with numerous internationally listed companies producing and exploring. Using the Babban Tsauni project as a platform asset Aurelia sees a huge opportunity both in developing and expanding the resources on this asset, but also on securing additional assets.
Aurelia Mining has reputable, long-term Nigerian shareholders who are well known in the Nigerian business community. They have good relations with the government at a local and national level who support the Babban Tsauni project and want to see investment and growth in the Nigerian Mineral Industry. Through these relationships, Aurelia believes that they can secure additional, highly prospective acreage to grow the Company.
As gold comes more into focus in the international investment community due to concerns on inflation due to expansionary government policies and pent up demand due to Covid, Aurelia believes that it is an excellent time to develop low cost, producing gold assets with attractive upside potential.
